BOAT MOVING & YARD

BOAT MOVING & YARD EQUIPMENT Eden launches ‘electrical’ hoist Italian company Eden Technology has introduced a new generation of boat mover, known as the Electrical Trollift, to complement its Trollift marine hoist range. Norwegian dealer for US boat stands US-based Brownell Boat Stands has recently expanded its distribution footprint into Norway. EMItech of Skien now offers a full range of galvanised boat stands for storage of recreational and commercial vessels and has good stock levels for immediate delivery. EMItech staff are expert in boat hauling and storage and can offer excellent advice to boatyard operators, chandlers and boat owners. Brownell boat stands are manufactured in the USA and have a proven track record for quality and reliability that spans over 60 years. The Trollift is able to change its track in order to fit different size docks and, most importantly, can store boats extremely close together. This patented solution avoids the need for an auxiliary tyre trolley for moving boats and thus saves the operator time and money. The system works either by means of an hydraulic cylinder that pushes or pulls the telescopic cross beam or with an articulated hinge and U shape cross beam. All the wheels are set at a 90° position during the expanding/contracting operation of the machine, which is undertaken by an electronic steering system. New generation machines also have a patented steering system but all movements and lift operations are powered by electric motors. No hydraulic components are installed so as to ensure maximum reliability and efficiency. All electrical components are standard and are easily purchased on local markets to give minimum downtime when machines are being serviced. Machines can be maintained by an electrician in the Eden Technology service department via a tele-assistance device in each machine.
