Charleston company becomes Port 32 USA: Atlantic Marina Holdings of Charleston, South Carolina, has rebranded to become Port 32. The company owns four high-profile Florida marinas – PGA Marina in Palm Beach Gardens, Ft Lauderdale Boatyard & Marina on the New River in Ft Lauderdale, Tierra Verde Marina Resort just south of St Petersburg and the recently acquired Tampa Harbour Yacht Club in Tampa. PGA and Ft Lauderdale are under redevelopment and will be all-new facilities when complete in 2019. Tierra Verde was completed in 2015 and Tampa Harbour in 2008. “After completion of our redevelopments in Palm Beach Gardens and Fort Lauderdale, we will be among the largest slip owners in the state of Florida at approximately 2,600 slips,” says Port 32 managing principal Joe Miller. “We believe it is time to link our portfolio together in a way that creates benefits and efficiencies for our company and our customers.” “While we are Florida-focused, as we believe the state is the true centre of boating in the US, we chose ‘32’ because it means something to us. It is the latitude for Charleston, where our company originated and our headquarters is located. Throughout all aspects of our business, we are committed to the Port 32 brand, which signifies the highest quality in all marina-related capabilities, facilities and customer service. We further intend to continue to focus on quality of location and market, rather than quantity,” he adds. All four existing Florida marinas are renamed as part of the rebranding with the prefix of Port 32, and each is overseen by Port 32 Management.
