WORLD NEWS Residential marina project sets new standards PERU: San Marino, a new marina and waterfront project near Paracas Bay, a two-hour drive from Lima, is under construction. Conceived as a modern marina and property development, San Marino is a sharp contrast with traditional yacht clubs in a region that typically suffers from limited and aging infrastructure. The development executive team is led by Gonzalo Barandiarán, general manager and partner of Park Office, and comprises architect, Ricardo Martín de Rossi, senior partner of Pragma Arquitectos, and Fernando Bertie (commercial management). The team has extensive experience in the development of the most relevant property projects in Peru and is supported by other partners specialising in property development. The San Marino master plan was designed by EDSA and marina consulting experts ATM. Studies have shown that registrations of vessels over 40ft (12m) in length have grown over the last ten years only in response to berth supply.
